Roof to driveway, we wash the lot.

Low-pressure soft washing for homes across Horowhenua and the Kāpiti Coast. Pick the bit that's bugging you, or tick the lot.

For your place

What we get up to.

Four jobs on a home, from the roof down. Each one gets the method that suits the surface, because a timber deck and a tin roof don't want the same treatment.

House Wash

A low-pressure soft wash for the whole outside of the house. We put the treatment on, give it time to get to work on the mould and algae, then rinse it all off gently.

  • Weatherboard, brick, plaster and cladding
  • Plus the soffits and joinery
  • Closer to a garden hose than a blaster

Roof Treatment

Moss and lichen get a low-pressure treatment that works on them where they grow, without high pressure on your tiles or iron. Fair warning, it's not instant. Moss and algae usually start dying back within weeks, lichen is slower and can take months, then the rain gradually washes it away.

  • Moss, lichen and algae treated, not blasted
  • Moss and algae die back in weeks, lichen can take months

The gutters

Gutter Clean

A blocked gutter sends the rain down your walls and along the foundations instead of into the drain. We clear it out and run water through, so we know it's flowing before we pack up.

  • Leaves, moss and silt out of every run
  • Downpipes flushed so the water gets away
  • Loose brackets and sagging runs pointed out

Landlords: a regular clean helps with the drainage part of the Healthy Homes standards, though on its own it doesn't make a rental compliant.

Surfaces

Everything you walk on, and the fence around it, cleaned at the pressure that suits it. Concrete can handle a firmer clean, but timber decks get a gentler wash, because high pressure tears up the grain and leaves it furry. And a mossy path in a wet winter is a slip waiting to happen.

  • Concrete, exposed aggregate and pavers
  • Timber and composite decks
  • Fences, steps and patios

Got a whole complex to wash?

Body corporates, townhouse complexes and property managers, we'll quote the whole site in one go, not one house at a time.

We deal with the property manager or the committee, so owners aren't chasing us one by one. Every site gets scoped before we put a number on it, because access, height and parking change everything on a big job.

Big sites

How a big quote comes together.

  • You send the site size, the unit count and a few photos.
  • We walk the site with you. Confirm: is a site visit standard for big jobs?
  • A written quote covering the scope, the method and the timing.
  • Confirm: what insurance and safety paperwork you can provide, e.g. a certificate of currency or a site-specific safety plan.
Soft wash vs water blast

Not everything wants a blasting.

A blaster has its place, like a tired concrete driveway. On most of your house it's the wrong tool, and you don't have to take our word for it.

Weatherboards

James Hardie's care guide for its Linea weatherboard says to wash it with low-pressure water and a brush, and not to use a water blaster on it.

Painted walls

Resene says houses should be washed every year to keep the paint looking good and shift salt and mould, and that a plain water rinse won't remove the spores. It takes a proper cleaning solution.

Older roofs and cladding

Some contain asbestos, and you can't tell by looking. WorkSafe says water blasting over 50 PSI must not be used on it, and points to soft washing instead.

Before you ask.

Can I get a few jobs done at once?
You can ask for the lot in one go. Tick every job you want on the quote form and add any details in the message box. Confirm: whether combined jobs get done on the same visit, and in what order.
Why not just water blast everything?
Because plenty of surfaces don't like it. High pressure can strip paint, drive water behind cladding, crack roof tiles and fur up a timber deck, and it tends to knock growth off the top without treating it. A plain concrete driveway can take a firmer clean, so we match the pressure to what's in front of us.
How often does all this need doing?
As a rough guide, Resene suggests washing a house every year, and Dulux says every six months in coastal areas. Gutters do well with a clean about twice a year, more often under big trees. Roofs and paths vary a lot with shade and damp, so we'll tell you honestly what yours needs.
Do you clean windows?
A house wash takes in the joinery around your windows. Confirm: whether a proper inside-and-out window clean is offered, and whether it's an add-on.
I'm on tank water. Is a roof treatment still okay?
Tell us when you book. If your drinking water comes off the roof, the downpipes need disconnecting before any treatment goes on. Confirm: who disconnects and reconnects them, and how long you leave them off for.

Do you come out to my town?
We cover Horowhenua and the Kāpiti Coast, from Foxton down to Paekākāriki. Here's the full list of towns. Just outside it? Ask anyway, we'll tell you straight.
How much does it cost?
Every place is different, so we price each one properly rather than guessing. Send your address and what needs doing through the form and we'll come back with a free quote.
